The 3m cord means that it can easily extend up a wall or reach up onto a desktop whilst the illuminated 2-pole on/off switches means that the plugged in appliances can easily be switched on and off meaning that you can conveniently disconnect the STANDBY function from the mains to within easy reach on the multi-socket so you don’t have to search around reaching awkward mains switches hidden behind TVs or under desks. The switches are laid out so that one of them turns 3 of the sockets on/off simultaneously and the other 2 switches turn individual switches on/off independently.
