The TEG-TEG-MGBSX TRENDnet Mini-GBIC Multi Mode module, compliant with IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet and Fiber Channel Standards, is a switch to switch interface which switches between fiber channels and GBIC ethernet. The LC Module works with standard Mini-GBIC slots on most switches and uses distributed multi-processing which means the device has the ability to support or use more than one processor or processing unit and the ability to allocate tasks between them.

This Multi Mode LC Type module spans distances up to 550km and includes 1 x 1000Mbps-LX (LC-Type) Mini-GBIC connector. Other similar versions include a distance of 10 km, 40 km and 80 km, all of which use SMF media type. The fantastic device comes with an industry standard SFP package and it is simply fantastic with its high density duplex LC connector which takes up less space than other connectors. The device has a fast gigabit speed network through a fiber channel compliant for storing networking of 1.0625Gbps and a 1.25Gbps Gigabit Ethernet Compliant. Furthermore, the device uses a single 3.3V Power Supply Voltage. This is all backed up by a fantastic 3 year limited warranty.
